63rd
Street Bridge (in Marion County)
Parking: There is a small parking area with
room for 2 to 4 vehicles at the corner of Fall Creek
Road and 63rd Street. It is just off the busy road
at the northwest corner of the bridge over the creek.
Path to River: There is a 75 yard carry
to the creek. From the parking area along the side
of the road to the bridge is relatively level, grassy
ground. Then you follow an overgrown path through
the weeds to a huge flat area of dirt ground by
the creek.
River Access: There is an enormous flat
area under the bridge by the creek. There is room
for tons of people and boats, though only a few
boats at a time can be put in the water. The riverbank
seems a good place to linger and get ready, although
it could be pretty muddy after a good rain.
